How to Check Nigerian Army Shortlisted Candidates List 2025/2026
If you took part in the Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC recruitment process for 2025/2026, follow the simple steps we have provided below to see if your name is among the successful candidates.
- Visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment website at www.recruitment.army.mil.ng.
- Navigate to the “SSC/DSSC Application (Graduates)” section under the Careers menu, or click on “SSC/DSSC Applications” from the main menu.
- A pop-up window will appear prompting you to download the shortlisted candidate’s list.
- If the pop-up does not show immediately, refresh the page and try again.
- Check the list to see if your name and details are included, which means you have been shortlisted.
- Print or save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

Required Documents For The Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC Training 2025/2026
If you have seen your name on the Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC shortlist, it means you have qualified to proceed to the next stage of recruitment: the training phase. During this stage, you will undergo thorough training and evaluation to determine if you are fit for the army role.
When attending the Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC training, all candidates are required to bring the following documents:-
- Completed printouts from the DSSC portal, including referee forms.
- Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate verified by a bank, along with your NIN enrolment slip.
- Military Identity Card (for those currently serving in the military).
- Letter of recommendation from your Commanding Officers or Commanders (for military personnel).
- Four colored 5 x 7 photographs wearing a suit, standing upright, without a cap or hat.
- Letter of sponsorship from a tertiary academic institution (for military personnel).
- Valid certificate of state of origin.
- Valid birth certificate or an official age declaration.
- Certificate of Call to Bar for candidates applying for the Directorate of Legal Services.
- Certificate of ordination for Chaplain candidates (Protestant or Roman Catholic).
- Original and duplicate copies of your academic or professional certificates, testimonials,
- NYSC discharge certificate, or a valid exemption certificate, where applicable.
Ensure the documents you have are authentic and have not been tampered with. Any alteration or tampering with your documents will make them invalid and could disqualify you from the recruitment process.
Required Personal Items
Candidates are expected to bring along the following personal items to the Nigerian Army training venue:-
- Original credentials, including an online printout showing your passport photograph(s).
- Two pairs of plain white round-neck vests and navy blue shorts (no stripes allowed).
- Two pairs of pure white canvas shoes or trainers (rubber-type shoes are NOT acceptable).
- Two pairs each of plain maroon round-neck vests and navy blue tracksuits (no stripes).
- Two white shirts, one blue shirt, one black tie, and one black belt.
- Four pairs of white socks and two pairs of black stockings.
- Two pairs of national dress or suits, along with casual clothing.
- One wristwatch.
- A pair of black-laced shoes.
- Swimming trunks.
- Two white bed sheets and matching pillowcases.
- One blanket (either grey or army green).
- Two sets of cutlery.
- Pressing iron.
- Toiletries for personal hygiene.
Important Information
- The selection exercise includes several stages: physical fitness tests, medical examinations, academic assessments, and an oral interview. All candidates must participate in each part to be considered.
- During the Selection Board, candidates will be provided with food and accommodation, so there’s no need to worry about meals or a place to stay while the exercise lasts.
- Candidates are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the Selection Board location. However, personal vehicles are not allowed, so you will need to find alternative means of getting there and back.
